The events about which I want to report occurred many years ago in a land far away. It was a happy land, wise and fair governed from his king JURON. To him aside there stood his wonderful spouse AETERA and his first-born, prince TURID, a straight young man. Still in the old age the queen had born the second son to her husband. When our story begins, he is still not a year old and receives all love of his family and his nurse.

The kingdom was not very big, but his grounds were fertile, the rivers of full fish and the animals of the woods seemed to be uncountable. The farmers ran in autumn always a good harvest, and the hunters never came home without prey .

However, only so much land was farmed, like urgently, and no animal was shot who should not serve for food. Thus his inhabitants lived happily and contently, respected her king and paid to him a low tax.

The king was well a friend with his neighbours and maintained only a small army. He was supported by his knights, six in the number. Just as her king they were respected in the towns and in the land, because they were fair and noble. They dispensed justice, settled quarrel and provided for the fact that the streets were sure.

With all kinds of tricks they pleased the people and harvested as thanks to eat and to drink. Even a few copper pieces found the way to the show plates. The people enjoyed the change and also heard news from the cities and the other villages.

He was an old man. The years had coloured  his hair to grey, hairstyle and beard were ruffled. He had lost an eye, a black cap covered the empty cave. On his head he carried the skull of a wolf whose fur served the old person as a coat. A black medallion which resembled a wolf head held together his clothes.

After a while the actors finished her play. When the visitors scattered, the dancer came to the old person and spoke to him, „ we will stay here tonight. It is too late to go on. Come with us to the inn. Drink and eat with us, today we were well paid. “ The old person nodded silently, rose astonishingly smoothly and followed the young dancer to the inn. Distrustfully he saw to the edge of the forest when ravens  croaked and raised in the air.

The guests space was full of  people. The actors squeezed into a free corner, and the pretty daughter of the landlord brought them bread, warm vegetable soup and cold beer. Greedily they ate the food.
