there are some vans in argentina that takes kids to school (that would be a private service) that looks like the orange and white one....  ;D
The buses hired by schools are of course big buses but also white and orange.  :)

In the UK (or at least round my way) School buses are usually either the school's minibuses, or coaches hired from local coach companies to do the school run, usually with multiple school drop offs :)

There is however a bright yellow American schoolbus round our way that I sometimes see in the mornings, but I havent yet worked out which school it serves :-\

I had the same idea as you Wesley a few months back...Why did they introduce a whole school theme without a bus  ???Maybe they will next year!!!  ;)

Here are a few pics from my schoolbus  ;)

I love it!!! Used to be my third favourite after the green police van and the yellow rescue helicopter!!!

Yes, I have been thinking too that we REALLY need a school bus. The link wesley posted is the kind of schoolbus I am used to. but if they just did a slightly altered (and of course yellow) version of this one: http://store.playmobilusa.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-US-Site/en_US/Product-Show?pid=4419&cgid=Transport it would be better than nothing. I don't know if they would want to do a whole new mold or  not.

In the end, we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught.

With so many details in the current school theme I too wonder why Playmobil missed a bus for the kids :) - are big school buses popular in German public schools? if the answer is no maybe that explains it all?

Someone could customize one using the one in the link bonnie posted, any volunteer? ;) ;D

I don't need one because I have the old yellow school bus (3170) but I've noticed it has become a very sought after set in the past years and new collectors need one at a reasonable price :)

Btw I hadn't noticed that 3170 does look more like a van than a bus, but I love it because it's a classic 8-)

We may be able to send a request through the Playmobil Collectors Club pilot program here.

Could someone explain to me what that collectors club pilot is about and when it started? maybe a link to it?  ??? I've heard something similiar on the Spanish forum - is it related to this one?
Enjoy the elegance and fun of 1900 with The Victorians photo story! :gent: ;D :sherlock:

Thanks for the pictures!  How does the tab on the seat work?  It just catches on the back of the "shirt"/body of the figure to hold it in place?  Does it work well?

If I could get my hands on one of those it would be cool to repaint it (even though I do not know if I would want to repaint it because it is just so nice the way it is and there is something nostalgic about it).

if you place a child klicky in the sitting position, you'll notice a small gap at the joining point, on top of the legs... thats where the first tab of the chair fits and the second supports the upper part of the body. For an adult klicky, you just insert it on the back of the shirt/body point...

It works very well, but I suspect, and if I can recall correctly, since this is not my old childhood bus, that if the tabs are overused, or the klickies, the holding points do not remain sharp after a long time of playing...
