The Palace of the Snow Queen

As seen in the Simral and the Santa story
This has a bunch of custom work on stock Playmo parts.
I will be posting more images tomorrow showing comparison of the original parts with the custom versions.
This involved spray painting mostly
I also decided the building would be permanent for this use so I filled in the System X holes with putty and painted over the whole thing. The silver detailing on the supports was all done by hand. The glittery tower tops were done by painting with white acrylic paint and then sprinkling a clear sparkly glitter onto the wet paint and gently pressing it in.

That's all I have for today. More when I get a chance to do a little more photography.
The snow base by the way is a large piece of white fleece - a synthetic acrylic material used in clothing that I got at the fabric store. The background hills in the story are created by wadding up plastic bags and putting them under the fleece. I moved the bags around when doing photos for the story so it would look like you were in different places as it moved along.

It's just gorgeous, Tim!! I love th glitter effect, and I like the bunny and dove fountains. I want one of those peacock thrones so bad, but i cant afford the whole castle, and I can't seem to find a cheap lot that has it in it.

When you do, can we have some close-ups of the throne, please?
I love what you've done with it.
