Sets being withdrawn in Germany for 2011

It's one of my favorite sets in years.  That's ok, I have one already, and time to get more. It just makes me think maybe they will discontinue this whole theme sooner than I would like. I hope not! Unless they replace it with an Australian outback theme. I'd be ok with that.

only a few surprises there. I am sorry to see all these compact sets go so early. I really liked those.

The Royal knight with cannon is leaving early too - that theme has been released only recently!

As for the hyena's - they are wonderfull, but aren't they available from the DS too?

That Royal knight with cannon (3316 in the list) is from the old Castle so it shouldn't even be in the list IMO as it has already been discontinued for a while.

The Hyena's and all other new Animals are available from DS. They might have not reached US DS just yet though.

Thanks for the translation....I tried copying and pasting it on playmodb...but seemingly the list is too long. So sad many of them are getting retired!! But on the brighter side, they have new playmobil coming in the future!!

Next time try this: Go to www.google.com click on language tools on the right side in small letters. Go to the selection of Translate text and choose from German to English then downsize that entire screen & sign back online again & go back to the site you want to translate. Click & drag so that the entire subject matter is highlighted. Go to the top of your screen under tools & click on copy, downsize that screen & go back to the google translation program & click on tools again then put the curser in the translation subject matter box, & click on the tools section again & click on paste. Click on translate & the topic should appear to the right, translated into the desired language !

my interest is in the ghost pirate ship and the 4290 ship being retired..... so does that mean any new pirate ships/themes coming our way at all?  Seems like the ghost pirate theme wasn't out that long.... did it tank out?  will they make more pirates?

There's something I don't get...
How do they select which sets will be discontinued? It is only a matter of market success or what is it?
I noticed the last Specials to be out on the market are first to be out OF the market. They haven't been around even a year.....
How come?
