Playmobil in Brazil

  This is good news!

They're still importing it. I've been to a toystore, recently, not expecting to find any playmos, but, as I went around all the store, I got to find some, accidentally, the new knights series, and something else.

It's very far from being the whole catalogue, of course, and the playmo didn't reach the more pop markets (the Brasilian "Target" is Lojas Americanas, there isn't playmo there for about a year, nor in the Saraiva, the Brasilian "Barnes & Noble").

And it's still at very high price ...

But it's very good new, anyhow!

I am surprised that Brazil doesn't have a lot of toy shops that carry Playmobil.

How do you get most of yours?  Mail order from North America?  Or Europa or ?

Congratulations....it is good to hear that playmobil is flooding to other parts of the world. We also have good news here in Hong Kong too. They are doing a 30% off for all playmobil sets, and I have bought quite a lot recently. Though the larger sets are still overpriced.

I just looked at the Hong Kong Toys R Us website and I see you have 11 Toys R Us' there.

I also see the prices for specials online is much cheaper than here!

That works out to be $2.96 for a Special while here the average price is $3.99 CAD (30.8979 HKD)

Yes.....isnt it cool? They have all specials 30% off from the original price. Normally, I dont go to toysrus even for specials, as they are listed at HKD32, which is around 4 something in USD.

There's a lot -- not my case, I don't buy vintage, except for steck houses & castle which isn't common in Brasil, because Troll never produced castles in Brasil .. -- a lot of vintage playmo by Troll in famous Brasilian eBay-like site, Submarino.com.br. People use eBay a lot, too. I bought steck on eBay (new, I like new stuff, whenever possible). I mainly use Amazon.com, for the moment, which gives me a lot of limitations, but it's usually the best choice. (Only L.A.Toys ships playmo to Brasil.)

Now, I still don't buy great quantities, but I do have a few contacts which I hope to articulate, when I can to make some big DS orders, through the States or Europe, all right ...

Got it wrong : it isn't the new knights. It's spare parts blister of those fantasy Wolf knights that has been around a while ago ...

Just as good, I hope to get one, today, and, if possible (that is, if they still have any) another of the same blister, next month, when extra money comes
