My medieval Town
« on: November 28, 2010, 13:17:41 »
Hello

I had a sudden urge to get my Seck out, and to create something, so here is my medieval town.

Please excuse the missing walls and battlements :-[  (I ran out) :-[

Also, it may not be entirely historically acurate, but please bear with me :)

View of the town from the front (imagine walls running around the edge of the carpet to meet up)

Entrance into the town:

Gaurds welcome the townsfolk as they arrive in town:

Beer delivery at the tavern:

Now to the largest building in town, which is home to the waggoner and also the town hall:

A shot from the ox cart of the waggoners building:

First floor of the building. Waggoners house to the left, and town hall to the right:

Overview of the inside from the back:

The Mayor in his office. His living quarters are through the door to his right:

The whole ground floor is the Waggoner's workshop. He repairs and builds waggons, carts, tools and furniture.

Long term jobs and junk:

An ox cart having it's wheel repaired:

The potters have a market stall today:

Delivery of food supplies to the castle:

That's a great city, Damo, and you provide so much detail that the missing walls are easily imagined.  I like the klicky eye level photo angle and the excellent detail such as in the waggoner's workshop, it's just like the workshops you see in old photos of similar workshop in the 1800s.

Great work!

Thanks, Gordon

I couldn't remember the proper name for the Waggoner, but his place is my favourite (I could age my usual 'special touch') ;)
