This kind of says it all.


I think if the cage pieces were really square I would have no problems, but they are rectangles. Oh well, I think I'm just going to have to do some cutting and gluing to make my own pieces.

Great ideas Bonnie. Good luck with the cutting and glueing :-)

We are going for the more regular netting option other suggested. Our current plan is to make a Hyena, Vulture exhibit based around the skeleton from 3040.

Oh, that's gonna be awesome! I've been looking at that set, thinking there had to be a good use for it, but hadn't come up with anything that good. I can't wait to see it!

I am probably going to do a netting exhibit for my vultures because they are so big, not much else will do. But I'm wanting to do this for my eagles, and smaller versions for owls and falcons. Then the walk-thru aviary for parrots and toucans. I'm arranging my zoo by geographical region, not scientific classification, so I can have different types of exhibit in different areas.

For the roofs - keep in mind that gravity is your friend. As long as the roof holds itself together it just needs to sit on top of the walls. It doesn't have to be connected. Playmo animals are very well behaved, I've never had any problems with escapes  ;)

Saturday in Wolfsburg, we nearly had an escaped animal :-)

There was this huge pile of playmo that we were browsing through for parts when my wife went STOP!!!

The kids froze in their tracks and my wife started going over the area where my son was searching over and over again...it took her about a minute but then she came up with....

A white Mouse!!!

It was very close to escaping but my wives eagle eyes saved the day :-)

Ooh, I don't have any of those! I always hide mice all over my zoo in funny spots, including one somewhere in the elephant exhibit.  :lol:
