Hello friends,  This is my playmobil limousine.  It is made from the vintage auto 5620.
The passenger compartment is made of thin plywood, and the seats from hardwood.
The frame was lengthened to accommodate the longer body.  The hood and frame/fenders are original Playmobile parts.
wow!!! :omg:that is an awesome limo!!!!

Wow great looking Limo  :)9 I guess i never really thought about it until recently on a job bid . I gained access to the old barn to find a pile of fenders and wooden rims w/tires . I did not realize some of these cars had solid wheels . what a rough ride on a cobble stone street.  There were a few semi complete ( beyond repair ) cars in the bushes as well and i thought of bringing them home, painting them playmobil colors and fitting the full size figures inside . Maybe i could send them to you and you could put your talents to full size work ;)

Thanks again for sharing you beautiful creation  :wow:

Thanks, everyone.  That was a fun project.
I wish I had a few more vintage autos to customize. :yup:

I do have a full size vintage auto, not a limo though.  It is a 1931
Ford Model A Coupe.  Had it for over 50 years.  (It was my first car).

Best regards,
Jimbo

Wow! I don't know how this got by me. I wouldn't have believed that was made out of wood unless you had mentioned it, Jimbo. This is really a superb job. Man, it looks amazing. Great job.  :wow:

I bet you have a lot of fun with the real one too. You know, most people wouldn't think of keeping their first car. That's neat. A neighbor of mine has a Model A, I can't recall the year, but it's amazing to see.

It's been a while since I've bumped any old topics, and I came across some more of Jimbo's amazing creations and thought I'd bring them forward for everyone to see.

Jimbo, this is amazing, simply beautiful. All your work looks so neat and clean... there's never a blotchy area or a messy line anywhere. Fantastic work!
