Hi all this is my last big project this year. I started working on this at the same time as the Bistro and it got put to one side while it was finished off. So I've just spent the weekend completeting my fairy tree house, mostly just building furniture for it. That and wishing I had more spare parts..... Can you ever have enough spares?
I had to build my own furniture as apart from a throne made from leaves theres no other natural looking furniture from PM.
The fairies only really have garden sets in Playmobil, I know there's a small palace gazebo? Not sure what you'd call it but I always thought it seemed odd having fairies that are small enough to wear flowers for hats in the same building as "normal" sized people. I hope you understand what I mean there?
Anyway soon as I laid eyes on this tree house I wanted to decorate it for the PM fairies. What do you think? I think it's brilliant and fits in well with the bunnies giant toadstool house (see what I mean about the scale of the buildings?)
The base at the front has a nice pond big enough for the lily pad fairy. With a ladder on the right and a slide on the left.
Above is the first floor with the main doorway and a walkway around it.
Then above this is a gazebo on the left and a patio with my home made chairs, on the right with a seating area above.
As you can see I've decorated all the railings with leaves and berries etc, and added extra PM flowers on the roof and in an arch over the pond.
As you can see the tree house has four floors, each of these I painted to look like the tree had been cut into.
The ground floor is big enough to hold the fairy carriage, rickshaw, wheelbarrow and unicorns.
I did the first floor as a sitting room with the thrones and a table I made from some tree parts.
Next is the bathroom, with mirrored washstand, bath and screen.
And finally the bedroom! So not a lot of furniture etc inside but it means it can be added to in the future depending on what PM brings out.
Oh I hadn't forgotten the best bit of coures is the fairy lights
