The Panther Pirate Galleon

I managed to paint this Pirate Galleon up a couple of weeks ago while waiting for parts for my other projects. As you might have noticed I managed to take loads of pictures this weekend to share with you all.

I love watching old swashbucklers like Errol Flynn and wanted to try my hand at decorating a galleon likes those in the films, so here's my first attempt. I've just painted and decorated it, the only modification to the build is the extra rail. I didn't really fancy trying to rebuild the ship any bigger I just wanted a relaxing painting job so this is the results. I did want to change the crest on the back to a panther but I haven't come across the right image yet.

Fantastic ship Emma!! Very inspiring!!! I saw it in your blog today and was anxiously expecting you to post it her as well!!!

Its finally here and its most impressive!!! Great detailed work!!! I love it!!!

Your "Golden Panther" is beautiful, Emma !!! The figurehead really looks great.


As Panos said, "Very inspiring !!!" It makes me want to grab a paintbrush and start "decorating" all my Playmobil pirate ships ...  ;D

Well I don't know if he'd want to let me loose on his ships! I like to have one original with all the bits, version of each then if I can I'd like to customise copies.

Wonderful work, Emma, both in the choice of colours, the overall finish and the detail work, plus the magnificent panther figurehead.
