Roman Arena Customs
« on: November 08, 2010, 13:31:55 »
I would like to see some pictures of some examples of two or more Roman Arenas used together to create a custom arena for some personal inspiration.

I know Playmobil never made any straight wall sections for it, sadly, so you could create a Circus Maximus and race chariots, but I had seen a picture or two of some modifications.

Since no one has put any pictures in here or links to pictures I shall be the first to do so in the hopes that someone will post some pictures of custom arenas that have combined more than one arena.

There are a few photos I kept from the various excibitions we had in the events or news boards... If you go through them you might find them, otherwise I can post them here later tonight!

I did try a search using the words "arena" and "roman" and the set numbers (both the full arena and the small Target/USA market version) but no luck at all.  No, I have not opened and read every post on this site, for anyone thinking that.  I just do not have the time with work, school and family - not to mention Playmobil in the real world.  So, anyone's help would be more than greatly appreciated!!!

Wesley are you looking for circuses with only original circuses parts? Because I can also recall one made of steck.... ;D

And you will not find the pics under any of these search options.... you will find them through the various excibitions links in the various threads...

Wesley, here are a couple of pics that I have... MacGayver's great customization of the arena set and Brubil's fantastic steck circus maximus!

There are more great pics at MacGayver's web site: http://www.macgayverplaymobil.be/ (and where these came from... I hope you don't mind, macgayver!)

It looks like the chariot races from Ben Hur! That's awesome. I have been wanting to reproduce that scene in Playmobil myself. Anyone notice there's a giant camera on the wall of the coliseum?
