Big assorted lot Purchase
« on: November 06, 2010, 17:21:57 »
Hello :wave:

Got this joblot from ebay:

The black tray was included as well, and is from the orange collectors case

Circus band:

Complete apart from the conductors baton. Does anyone have one spare?

Pirate crew:

But it is the following that are most puzzling ???

Their faces are printed on, and they have no brown in their heads. They also have a very cheap and lightweight feel to the plastic.

the Sheriff and the cowboys have very 'Antex' looking faces, but looking in the collector they could be either early Playmobil, Trol, Playpeople, or early Spanish Playmobil (not Famobil)

Does anyone know where they come from?

I just started to put them into sets I saw in the book, but then gave up.

Also the red motorbike is puzzling ???

Oh and the price...... wait for it........£3 the lot! ;D (I would have got it for 99p but I forgot to bid and this is what the seller let me have it for)

Damo :)

Whats the date under their feet Damo? Perhaps you're looking at some really early produced playmobil klickies...1974... thier faces were printed, but not sure about the plastic feeling... I'll look the motorcycle up!

1974 and all markings as usual. I don't know why, but the Indians and the mysterious people in white look older than the Sheriff and cowboys who's printing just looks tacky

I have spent hours trawling through the collector giving myself a headache 8}

I have such klickies and I believe them to be what I mentioned earlier...a very first 1974 production!

I am sure I have seen the bike somewhere but cannot recall, or find it on the collector for that matter...

I have found the bike in the collector, and it is a Trol (Brazil) but Famobil also did one but with grey wheels (although still a possibility)

So it's really confusing with all the others 8}

the pale blue indian is an old 1974 one.
In that years indias were of this 5 colours: white, pale green, pale yellow, pale blue, and orange. (boxes 3120)
Only one year later, boxes changed the number to 32xx series and indians were in hard colours red, green, blue, etc

If you can read spanish you can read a shot history about hose pale indians in my blog:

You're right, Panos.  I would have expected the band to go for much more than that by itself.
