I was thinking something a little like this, but more general ... I hope to write a topic on this, soon.
It's about the way there were kinds of (nameless) characters, in the old ("vintage") medieval playmobil collection (the count, the countess, the baker, the farmer, sentry, soldier, captain, &c.), and this concept disappeared, later. (Even the merry men don't have "1 klicky" box for each character produced.)
The interesting of the way it was bach in the 80s was that, even someone who didn't buy the large castle could have the king exactly as he was in the castle, in a simple "1 klicky" box.
This doesn't happen anymore. It's sad ... There are a few of us who know that parents couldn't ever afford bigger sets. (My parents couldn't. Or seldom.) Even so, I could have the klickys ...
(The biggest set I got was a Western cavalry fort, in 1983? Christmas ...
)
This should be restored, somehow. (All right, there's DS for this, nowadays, blisters, 3 klicky add-on sets, but this doesn't reach the Brasilian market
even L.A. Toys on Amazon.com -- the only store that ships playmo to Brasil -- don't have many add-ons in their stocks. Then, all I can do is to get frustrated with accessing Playmobil.De
