The Fortress on The Acz ~ An old story
« on: September 24, 2010, 17:44:11 »
THE FORTRESS

(While Sir Elmo was still in Jerusalem,
Fletcher served in a troop of mercenaries,
later hired by the Magistrate of Degandorf.
This is the story of a service they were
hired for by the Tapian court,
right before the invasions of the High Acz.)

(A common day on the Acz)

The Tapian colours flow on the hill.

Soldiers hold the fort. Romeo keeps the south side. Gus, the north.
Rufon, a local, keeps the entrance. Master Belteszazzar,
the Steward of Lord Tirio, attends to his duties.

There isn't much to do. The Acz was chosen for the specific purpose of
being a peaceful place.

Main duty of the Steward is atteding to his cheese. Swiss cheese.
Until ...

RUFON "Someone approaches, from the west road."
BELTESZAZZAR "Attend to this, Gus, will you?"
GUS "Yes, Master ..." (to Rufon) "Are you sure, fat man? I can't see a thing."

RUFON "Grof, yes I'm sure all right: look for yourself, sir ..."
(MASTER BEL "Hm, marvelous cheese! ...")

This story is complete in three parts, being the last one divided in two. It's all in my facebook, including text already done ;D

After this one, there will be a few others, of Elmo & Fletcher in Degendorf, mainly around visits to Feorct's new place. I haven't shot the whole sequence of that one though ... It's in the middle.

Taking this interlude, I'd like to ask:
Please, wait for the "To Be Continued"
or for the "The End" tag to add comments
(Like in the theatre :P )

(The foreigner approaches)

GUS "Hail! How can we be of help? This is a Royal post."
FOREIGNER "Hail! I seek the Master of the Acz. I bring him a message from the court."

GUS "A message?"
FOREIGNER "War is coming. The taxes of the season must be taken to a safer place."
GUS "I will lead you to the Master then."

GUS "Master ... There's news from the court."
MASTER BEL "News?"

FOREIGNER "Lord Tirio has hired my troop to provide you and the soldiers relieve and escort from this fort. War is coming to the frontier. The taxes must be taken to a safer place."
MASTER BEL "In whose name do you speak, young man, and what's your name?
FOREIGNER "I am Bertram. I come as a messenger from the leader of our troop, the Sarge Petre."
MASTER BEL "All right, then. Go back to him, and report him all will be ready when he arrives."
BERTRAM "Thank you sir."

The foreigner leaves, from the way he had come.
GUS "Can he be trusted, Master?"
MASTER BEL "Nobody knows of the treasure. Nevertheless, we will know soon enough. I know Petre. If he does come, we can trust him. Meanwhile, we wait"

(Foreigner exit)
