Barrel truck
« on: February 21, 2006, 21:46:04 »
This barrel truck was made from the vintage truck 5640, with a bed made to accept the L.G.B. barrel.  A different roof was made of wood, and  installed for a slightly different look.

That's a very unusual and interesting custom, and nicely done.

Again - you have done an excellent job. I haven't recognized that the roof top is a different one.  8-)
Cheers

Great, yet another really nice custom job.

Do you customize vehicles for an LGB layout by any chance?

That is a magnificent truck! A great combination. (BTW, how many Victorian trucks and old timers do you have for customizing?  8} )

Congratulations on an excellent custom!

That's a great conversion too. You seem to be getting really great paint effects - very smooth and tight.  Would you care to share what types of paints you are using?

You should be designing for Geobra

Think of the vintage vehicles that could be made

Thanks for sharing you creations,
Meg

Very creative, James! :yup:
I've never seen the barrel before, but it seems to fit your conversion very well. 8-)

Many thanks for posting the pic! Can't wait to see more of your customs! :)

Captain Henry,  Thanks for the great comments and encouragement!  I have about seven trucks and two cars, and a box of parts.

Sir Gareth,  Yes I had a Playmobil/L.G.B. small outside layout.  I also made a larger lay out for a local enthusiast.

Tiermann,  I use several coats of KRYLON paint.

Meg,  Working for Geobra would be a dream job!  I have sent many suggestions to them over the years.

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments.
