Damo, milk is kept in silos. Large dairy farms have silos for storage of the milk before the truck comes to take it to the creamery. Dairy silos are typically narrower with a round top, where grain silos these days are wider often with a pointed top.

WoW!  Like everything else in life, not everyone can be pleased.  I would like to say that these new sets look GREAT :)9.

a few notes:

- Im glad to see Playmobil making newer and more creative buildings / structures, although may not be the best for modeling purposes they alow for excellent play value for children.

-I feel that Playmobil continues to get more realistic and detailed every year with the majority of their "city life" sets.

-Sometimes you just have to look outside the box and use your imagination......when I see the barn building I actually vision it completely gutted of "farm stuff" and turned into a shipyard style warehouse where anything could be maufactured and even appears that the front door is even tall enough to have a rail car enter.  And like someone else mentioned about the dockside police station.....just remove the signage and you can turn it into anything, afterall, how many police stations do we need?

- Yes, milk here in the US is stored on site while waiting to be delivered in elevated and non elevated silos.  This particular silo does resemble more of a feed silo though but could go both ways.

-And yes, here in the US it is common for the younger generation to refer to "sport compact cars" as "tuned" cars or "tuners" or "tuning" as a verb for customizing your car.

-Best of all, Well done on the ferry! :**:

I haven't seen anything in this thread of the horses and motorbikes that are going to be released in January? Six different horses with driver and stables and 6 different bikes with drivers. If this hasn't been posted yet, I could scan a picture from the catalogue.  :)

That's what I thought :-\

Ones here in the UK are just big silver tanks that stand on the ground. This particular one looks like one for grain, which does appear on the front, but also with the cow ???

Damo :)

Thank you for the pictures. I like how functional the farm is. I don't think we will be adding it to our collection, but I enjoy seeing it.

Here (Western Canada), only silage is kept in silos.

well tanotrooper in hadoque's thread "New sets late 2010 / early 2011 (Europe)" - http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=5191.0 - you can see your horses and motorbikes (that is, if you consider "american" motorbikes - there are 2 of them - as real motorbikes :P).
