You’re most likely referring to  Golden Knight (set #3372/3024) and
Knights Tournament Tent (set #3654)
. They do look like they’re made of gold, but it’s really just the color.

no they mean this knight : http://www.collectobil.com/images/items/4430.jpg which has an amount of gold in the paint  ;)

Some years ago I heard a story about some some klickies made out of pure gold . And i am not referring to the anniversary knight etc , this rumor was about  a proper sized  klicky made of pure gold therefore having no painted facial features or different colours. Have never seen any picture  or anything as such. Curious though , has anyone ever heard of anything as such ? I was told they were made as a special order from Saudi Arabia ................ Strange uh ???

very intresting george !!, i haven't heard of it  :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: was this a classic type klicky??

All i have been told is that it was made in the exact dimensions and size of the classic klicky, no plastic hair or facial characteristic or whatsover , made of pure gold ... aw well if its true surely someone in here must have heard of this before ....

No, Giorginetto specifically said it wasn’t the Anniversary set (that was what I first thought of myself).
If I’m jealous, you did SOMETHING right. Keep it up. :D

Did they have moving joints, or were they just one solid lump?

Playmobil could not use their normal molds to create gold parts, the melt temperature, flow rate, cooling profile etc. varies too much from their regular plastic pellets.

It sounds like an urban legend.

Solid lump, i will tend to agree with you Martin, probably an urban legend though the person who told me is a serius one and knows i take playmobil very seriously and i dont think he would pull my leg . Anyways , he was a friends of my dad , that was a long time ago, i will see if its possible to speak to him and find out .  I am very curious i must say !!!!

Did you see these pics before? So it might be possible there would be a massive golden klicky in Arabia.

Oh and I forgot. The car is not painted. It's made of whitegold!  8}
