I voted yes for this blister. But i have to say that i think it's a tie with the Crusader blister.  As for the 5799 blister pointed out by Colonel Klicky, i myself haven't come across this set as of yet  :(. If i did i would buy a bunch  ;D.

the best blister as far as im concerned was the crusaders one, even if they changed the helmet on the older figure. in theory the best BEST one is the ACW blister, but no one's ever seen that, unless they're called Robinho or something.

I think on balance that you can call this the best blister ever produced, but not everyone will agree with you, although blood won't be spilt as a result.   :)

Edit:  I've corrected my post to read "best" instead of "nest"!

I have to agree with Wolf Knight, Andy R and Bolingbroke. The redcoat is nice, though I already have several Redcoat officers so I wouldn't need many of this guy in his original role. I could customise him, but then by definition he hasn't been so useful in his original form.

The Pirate is nice enough, but as Pirates should be individual in their appearance, I can use maybe 3 of this figure by switching his parts around with other duplicate pirates.

For me a "best blister ever" would have to contain two figures I can use multiples of in their original format without modification, or with minimum modification (e.g. change of hair), which pretty much means they can form the basis of an army unit. The Romans 5827 blister, the Crusaders 5825 blister or pretty much any of the Knights theme blisters fit this profile. A nun/monk or monk/priest blister would score highly, but we're still waiting on that one. The 5799 ACW Blister would be great, but hasn't appeared in the US, maybe for reasons of historical sensitivity.

The Roman 5800 Blister is an example of a pack with one really useful figure (the legionary) and one we don't need in such quantity (the Centurion). Richard pointed out that is the blisters are priced at $3.29 or less you could buy the packs and throw away the Centurions and still get the legionaries cheaper than the are on Playmobil's website, but as nobody in the Continental United States has yet seen this blister in a shop, it's still a theoretical point.

Value for money depends on how much the blisters cost YOU the reader to obtain. The Blisters appear to have been designed primarily for the North American market, and when they reach Europe and other parts of the world they cost more. Even in the US and Canada the shelf prices can vary wildly between stores. Richard's assuming a shelf price of $3.29 or less, and that just isn't happening unless there's a sale on.

So sadly this blister, indeed any blister containing pirates or officers, can't be useful to me in large numbers, because my definition of a great blister is one I would want to buy in large numbers.

It is a great blister indeed and I'll buy several of them. But I personally prefer the 5799 blister for being more useful for my pet subject of customizing.

And were will I get these nice Blister?  ???

That's a good point, Martin.  For me with my interests this one fits the bill and meets your criterion:

All I need to change is the yellow helmet for a white one and add a breathing apparatus set to have a two man BA team.  Currently, the duo are only available in Germany but I have bought them on Amazon UK at £6.35 for the pair and free postage because of the size of my overall order.  As I have spare helmets and BA gear there's no other cost for the customising and with the Special fireman at £2.50, the price for the duo isn't too bad.

A nun/priest blister isn't realistic though: I don't see much play value for the children in such a combination. I agree regarding most of the medieval blisters however, especially because they recycled older specials. The roman blister I passed on, though. I didn't like those two figures when they came out - the legionnaire with the green shield looks a bit bare with no neck accessory, and the beskirted officer looks a bit silly to be honest. Still, de gustibus non est disputandum.

If they're gonna recycle specials into blisters, my choice would go for the 4670 crusader and the recent arab warrior.
