Queen Candy was looking over my shoulder at the photos as I opened them and said: "It's not fair! Why don't we ever get any snow?!"

We usually do get some decent falls every winter (deep enough to build a good sized snowman) but it has been considerably milder this year, and as a result we've had almost no snow here. The kids have really missed playing in it, as you can probably tell by my daughter's comment.
My youngest son has some of these Dino sets. He has not played with them outside, but that is a very good idea.

When I was little, I would play in the giant piles of sand that my dad had delivered (foundation material for his building work), making tunnels and roads for my toy cars. I remember it was a lot of fun, so I can easily imagine how much your kids enjoyed making their ice base. They did a great job and have every right to feel proud.

Thanks for the photos, Henry. I really enjoyed them.
