Barbie's popularity is finally declining, only to be replaced by bratz.  :doh: Talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire.  :wall: :wall:

Don't get me wrong, I LOVED barbies as a child, and I still have them in a closet somewhere. And I'm sure my kids will play with barbies AND bratz.  ::)  I can't help but notice that both promote way too much emphasis on all the wrong things. However, I do agree with blackpearl that with proper upbringing, young girls can grow up well-adjusted even if they do play with dolls that look like... well, you know.   ;)

Indeed, a terrible change!
I don't think I would buy my future nieces those kind of toys. Neither makeup or high heals for girls.... I find that repulsive. And don't make start about kids beauty pageants!  >:( >:( >:( >:(

I hope Playmobil will never producea Brat-looking klicky, with that HUGE head/eyes/lips and their ridiculous shoes - a female klicky like that would indeed look horrible :o :lol:

on the subject of bikini klickies, is there a male version as well?

I have a pirate or two that are shirtless, but it's still just a standard klicky just molded in fleshtone color to appear shirtless (even has chest hair, lol), with shredded pirate capris pants and bare feet.

So is there a new male version to match the new girls?  (there is also a brown-skin-toned bikini girl, fyi )
