Thank you.

The idea for the ship in my head is to have a large prow, something like the dragon one in the Dawn Treader ship.  The hard part won't be to make the ship, but to find a swan's head to put on it, methinks.  I might have to wait a couple months until spring lawn ornaments appear (in stores) and then use one of those.

Yesterday I got two of the Large Rock Formations (7178).  I didn't take a picture of them because you can't really tell what they are in the bag, so stock photo provided (just like the ebay auction photos were provided for the ones above).

I was going to use them for an undersea kingdom for my daughters' mermaids.  In on of the auctions it happened to include a possible 30 21 9120 (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-21-9120).  Now, I say "possible" because Playmodb only lists it as in dark grey or western red.  However, if you go back to my auction photos, you can clearly see it is a light grey.  So, it does not match the rocks exactly in colour, but that will be fine for children.  Does anyone know of another set that used this piece in light grey?

I was thinking of painting them a blue to match the "undersea" rocks Playmobil made, but rocks that are underwater are not blue in real life, so I'm thinking why bother?  That way it would only limit their usage.  So, I think they will stay grey.

Okay, I haven't added to this in a while - that just means I'm very very behind.  Also, not as many new posts on the site as of late (probably spring and people are going out of doors - or nobody likes Playmobil anymore.  Yeah, right ...).

Here's a couple lots I got:

I love getting lots of miscellaneous parts.  There's the excitement of finding out what set it was from, what it could be used for, does it complete anything I have, will it inspire me to want (need) anything, etc.

I also got the Blacksmith starter set (3125).  I never bought it when it was on the shelves (and I do not know why) but I've always liked it.  Maybe because it is something different than just fighting knights.  I do wish they made domestic sets for the medieval period still ...

I've never had to many Playmobil vehicles before.  I'm more of a middle ages and pirates type for what I like to get - however - the girls have been playing with the vehicles non-stop.

I like how the one lot came with 4 catapults and 5 cannons and two extra gun carriage parts (not to mention the viking tent).
