In my case, I think I'd be better off just stacking my Playmobil straight onto the pallet

Damo :)

So I was showing my wife the original post pics, and she said ”I have to say, I’m not disliking the whole organization thing going on here.”

Praise indeed, although not exactly a definite commitment to Playmobil.   :)

I use IKEA boxes for storage:

- GLIS (34x21x8cm) for Specials
- GLIS (17x10x8cm) for Sets
- VESSLA for storing GLIS (17x10x8cm)
- SAMLA (5l) for storing SuperSets
- SAMLA (11l) for storing catalogs & instructions
- SAMLA (45l) for storing GLIS (34x21x8cm), vehicles & sceneries
- SAMLA (130l) for storing vehicles & sceneries

We use these exact same boxes. And then my Steck collection is in:

All sorts of boxes from the Trofast range.

I need to make a trip to the Ikea soon again to get more though...I have too much Steck....for the boxes I currently own...so I need more Boxes first...and then more STECK!!

Hi

Those are actually neat looking storage containers Damo. They look so toy-ish and compliment the Playmobil well.

We use the plain old Sterilite boxes from Target. I get them on sale for $1 for a small (6 quart) and $1.50 for a medium (16 quart)

I also found those drawers at Target for $15-ish .

Here are some old pics

This is a great workspace, Rasputin!  I really like the drawers that you got at Target.  I looked for something similar at Walmart today, but no deal.  Sounds like an expedition to Target is in my future.  ;D

WOW Rasputin. Thats a very nice set up. Those cabinets look really useful!

But I would like to give you some advice. Either you need to give your laborers some rest once in a while or you should make sure that the task better fits their skill. I mean come on! That on in the front isn't able to lift the chainsaw. So either make sure he is in a physical better shape or give him a bit less work. I just want to make sure you don't get into any union trouble.

I don't know if it's the same all around Europe, but this week LIDL are selling these really handy storage boxes (can't find the links though, sorry). They have two types: one's one of these thin-ish compartmental boxes grown-ups use for nails, screws etc; the other's much deeper, the top part has about four compartments and can be removed. Both cost less than 10Euro each although I forgot the exact amount. I think I'll be going again to buy another of the smaller ones: incredibly handy for storing the smaller parts.

(having said all this, no amount of 'musical storage boxes' seems to be working for me: the collection is getting bigger, and the space is getting smaller)  ::)

Saw nothing at the local Target that could be used.  ::) Back to Walmart and found myself in the sports department and the fishing isle.  Found these covered trays that are supposed to be for fish hooks, lures, etc.  I think they were just the ticket for all the small house parts that go astray.  Good ol' Walmart!   :P
