Love the idea of introducing an official samurai special, but he looks kind of weird....
How would you like the Samurai to look (apart from in focus)?
He looks a pretty good first go to me, apart from not carrying his katana and wakisashi in his belt. Customisers will fix that using a waist belt and shoulder belt, and hopefully Playmobil will design a proper two-sword belt later.
The first special in a new "theme" (as we're hoping) seems to be designed to test the water, and is never as good as the full theme klickies (see the original Roman Specials). I think this figure is a tester, and when he sells in the 100s of 1000s he'll spawn at least a follow-up, but hopefully a whole theme.
Looking at the specials, does it mean we are going to see the rebirth of the WESTERN theme? and ASIAN WAR as well??
Probably not, though it'd be nice. There was a Cowboy not so long ago, now we're getting a Native American to balance him (and a very nice one too, definitely one I'll buy several of).
I barely glanced at the new horses, they still look like they're walking rather than galloping, but I guess they are more realistic than the previous lot. I still prefer the originals that can balance on their tails.
