Amazing what a few sips of beer can do!!!  :D :D :D :D

Ok here is an idea!!!

You can add the gate, extend the double hight section so that you can support double floor parts and then fill it with catapults and guards, build a door for the troops to come out on the battlements, raise towers...etc etc etc... ;D ;D ;D

That is a good idea Wolf Knight,
but not entirely the best it could be.

The attackers could easily just bash through the lower wall
And run right under the defenders,
Even attacking them from behind.
Then while the defenders are pushed against the wall with nowhere to go
It becomes a blood bath for the defenders as opposed to the attackers.

To maxamise the effectiveness of this idea
There should be solid wall pieces to support the second wall pieces.
(just a small adjustment) :)

Also, to strengthen the gate...
Make a corridor between the first gate and a second gate,
Make it 2 units wide and 2 units long using these pieces:   30 07 0780 - Floor, 1x2 units, square hole

Then while the attackers are trying to knock through the second gate,
Pour boiling oil on them as they work...
Also, putting arrow slits in the walls on either side of the corridor
Allows archers to shoot at the attackers while the burning oil takes it's toll.

Another thing you can do to help strengthen the walls is to put small outlets
Maybe one or two steck sections out from the walls every foot and a half.
Make them into towers if you want,
But that is not really necessary.

These outlets can be used to fire on the backs of the besiegers (using archers)
while they climb/attack the wall.
The outlets should be small enough that they can only be attacked by small bands of men at a time, thus allowing your men stationed there to fight them off easily enough.

That is all I can think of for now,
Hope it helps. ;D

These are all great improvements Warrior!!

Is there another word for outlet? Just to understand better what you mean. Although, I think I know what you mean...

And will there be anything left and right of the corridor going from one gate to the other? Meaning, is the first gate an extended one outside the wall perimeter? And the corridor links it to the main wall section? Or are both parts of the main perimeter?

Excellent ideas and info Martin, WoT and Sir Wolf, and thanks for the pictures Panos . I think we are getting somwwhere and with all these ideas next think will be to experiment to find the optimum solution and to check if i have enough steck as my next mediaval foot print will have to be at least 50% than the one shown on video ... I think first wall and then immediate second wall two high will be the ideal approach ( as shown in Panos pictures ) plus a corridor for the gates where boulder throwers can be above and archers positions etc etc .. cant wait !!!!

Hmmmm, i think i need some more floor parts , lots actually !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And maybe a couple of towers even higher than the boulder throwers...

Goooooooooooood idea !!!!!!!!! Actually I am very stressed as with the concept of double walls not sure how many additional steck parts i will need etc, truth is i will never truly be able to find out till i start building my citadel . ANd i want another 4 roudn towers which is very annoying i havent got yet but i dont want to buy complete 3666s as i have plenty of doors, houses etc etc .. Awwwwww , the universal truth of ' There is never enough steck'

where is the best place to get 4 round towers ????

By outlet Wolf Knight, I mean a small square tower sticking out from the wall every 5 steck sections or so.
Just put a "tower" sticking out 1 or 2 steck wall pieces from the wall,
Then make it just 1 steck wall piece wide
So it is not big enough for a large assault.

The corridor will be indented into the wall.
The first gate SHOULD NOT stick out of the wall at all.
That would make it weaker. :o

Thanks for the clarifications Warrior!!! Just what I imagined!!!
