About 2004 the owner of Collectobil went to work for Playmobil and hasn't been able to devote time to the site much since.

This was Bart's own site and he had full time work to do.  He could only include information on items and sets he had information on and relied on people to tell him about missing items and provide missing information.  However, what he did do was impressive enough for Playmobil to give him a job.

Many people didn't. I began collecting playmo again a few years ago, because of the internet, I can say. Not only myself, but many Brasilians, and many people in South America & around the globe.

Playmobil was mainly popular in Europe and in the US. In Brasil, it isn't a popular toy, that is, lower classes don't have access to it (too expensive).
