Don't throw your blue ties away - they're useful!!!

Hello Playmofriends

Here is a pic of the blue ties which often come in Playmobil sets to hold bundled parts together:



Because they are so strong, and easy to put together and part they are very usefull!

IMO, from what I know of they are better than anything currently on the market for surving these purposes, but unfortunately they don't have part numbers otherwise I would order a load from DS

Does anyone else have any great uses for them?

I've never seen these before and thye seem especially useful.  Any particular sets they come with, Damo?

Mine came from sets 4823 and 4471 - they were used to bundle the frameworks of the boats together. It could well be that they only came in these sets but I am uncertain

I like the look of those - they do seem to have a lot of potential uses.  I usually save all the pits and pieces (even the sprues in case a little piece of a particular color plastic might be needed later  ) but I don't remember seeing them before - maybe they are new.  I will be on the lookout for them.

I haven't seen these before either, but i don't manage to get many new sets,  :' (most of mine are someone else's cast offs from ebay!

Thanks Damo for the tip! That's a pretty good idea for the blue ties. From now on I'm going to give them to my mom for her garden. Thanks for sharing.
