My Garden Centre
« on: June 09, 2010, 11:19:33 »
Hello

Today I set up my garden centre, although it was raining outside so this one had to be in the lounge, although it is a bit dark in the lounge.

Florashop sells a huge variety of plants, tools and garden furniture, with prices sure to make you not want to come back.

Where possible, most plants are grown on site, and the rest are brought in.

Enjoy,
Damo :)

The growing area, with Klickies hard at work:

There are always lots of jobs to be carried out around site:

Out the front, an assistant helps load a customers car:

Avie, Lizzie, and Flatcat have just purchased a sack of compost and two plants for £35.10
Money they will never get back.

The first greenhouse, where the damage is done:

The second greenhouse houses the indoor plants, tools, and young seedlings:

The main area, accessed through the rear of the second greenhouse:

A friendly assistant gives advice on plants:

Florashop stocks two types of compost; Extra and Bonus:

A couple head to the till:

Overview of the yard:

Entrance to the yard for deliveries etc:

Rubbish is deposited in skips, which are emptied unregularly. Empty pallets and cages are put aside, ready for collection by the supplier, otherwise Florashop will get fined if they do not get them returned:

A tractor with bowser brings in fresh water daily, as the only mains water supply is to the owner's house:

The tractors are all stored in the barn overnight, which is also the safest place for the safes. The old shipping container provides secure storage for tools, stock etc:

Once again a great setup Damo. Your work is always a joy to watch. I was happy to see Lizzie again but hope Avie is driving, otherwise I fear for their purchases.

Well, what more can be said.  As ever, a joy to view and what great detail.  The layout of the centre is just like the garden centres in the real world, there's the detail of the leaves in the tractor trailer and the crates and bits untidily tossed in to the skip - wonderful!  Another contribution to go back time and again to enjoy.

PS: Baden, I think Avie is flatcat's avatar.
