Great set and a great review of it, with a worthy appearance by the Abbot himself! North America seems to have had several of these "ruin" sets that reached UK shores, though they apparently made it to Greece.

I like this particular Wolf Clan design the best, as a mixed bunch of not-quite-chivalric knights. I've been lucky to acquire the figures from this set, but not the whole ruin. Mine are camping out in my Dark Castle - at least they will be when I have time ro reassemble it.

The old horse's caparison beats the modern style into a cocked hat. What were the designers thinking with the "Clifford the Dog" headwear on the modern horse? Why no printing?  ???

I have the answer Alex! The toy shop owner from whom i bought the latest knights and pirate carrying cases said to me that, once a year people from playmobil hellas go round the world and bring in sets that are produced as exclusives for other countires or are no supposed to come to greece at all.... That is the reason we see some of those being sold...and that is why they are so few...because they are left overs...

I think I prefer these black windows to the green ones on the wizards workshop.
