seeing these pictures, I wonder why the japanese are not mad about playmobil. They perfectly look like from a japanese comic.  :P

 I see that all the figures are city type every day sort of people.

 Do any of the Japanese catalogues or flyers have any Knights, Western or Pirate type figures in them?

I would commit a murder for these Meiji Giftsets, but I am afraid that none exist anymore. At least 4 series of 20 individual boxes each were released since 1982. This is the last unusual box I found  :)

 :'( still trying to find a lyra 1L02 pirate i was just thinking on starting a thread somehow suggesting it was one of the rarest playmobil sets (i've seen it just once on ebay).
 ;) but now playmoed you just remind us of these japanese sets and suddenly our "westen-world" gems seem so petty.
