The second life of Fire Rescue Boat

 :wave: Hi,

here some pictures from a boat, before... and after... a renovation and cleaning.










And... :D



The boat is only 4 years old (2006) and my soon play with this eachtime in the bath. A chance that he never was outside to the sun... Here some pictures about explanations and the end of result. I keep all small parts time ago, and now I can put it again to the boat. I hope my soon will be happy to play again. Now he is a little older and I hope that he don´t will loose pieces by playing, I hope so... ;)

Warm water with white vinegar 24h. The vinegar dissolves easily limestone, without dammage for platic or print.
De l´eau tiède avec du vinaigre blanc 1 journée. Le vinaigre dissoud facilement le vinaigre sans altérer ni le plastique ni les impressions.
Lauwarms Wasser mit Essig Essenz 24 Std. lang. Der Essig vernichtet der Kalk ohne das Plastik oder die aufdrücke zu beschädigen.
A água morna com vinagre branco 1 dia. O vinagre dissolve-se facilmente de calcário, sem dammage para platic ou imprimir.

Toutes les petites pièces détachées.
Alle kleine Zubehöre die ich bei Seite getan hatte.
Todas as peças pequenas.

That's definitely a success, and it looks like new :wow: :wow: :wow:

Although I did quite like the look before :-[ Looks abandoned and creepy 8-)

You've done an excellent job there.  As flatcat says, it looks as good as new.  I'm sure your son will get many hours of play out of it in its brand new state.

Vinegar...never though of that, although i use it to clean limestone from the kettle!!! Thank you!! Good job with your boat!!!

Excellent renovation process shown, Tricornejock :wow:! White vinegar,hmmm,...I'm going to try this remedy on some of my future projects!

This example shows just how resilient Playmobil toys really are! They can be mistreated, abused, neglected, severely used, forgotten :'(, & after just a little TLC, they can be made to look almost brand new :love:! The materials used in their production are the best available as shown by the evidence :)9!
