Well let me shred some light to the mystery.... i have been buying playmobil since 1978 to today and I rememebr the Lyra sets quite well, still have lots of instructions and some boxes. I am pretty certain they stopped in the 80s making the playmobil 'official' range but in the late 80s and 90s still produced inferior quality klickies in buckets. The quality of these was no good....  :-\

Lyra produced quite a few western houses also, i remember toy shops in the early 80s litely flooded with them , not many these days on ebay etc etc though . it should be noted though that Lyra quality was perfect in early sets such as 3232,3245, 3317 ( the first glowing ghost, this was very popular with us kids when they came out !!!) , 3422 ( western bank), 3742 - Circus horses ( i bet ya your white horse is from these ...) , these ' good ' sets had the logo Playmobil system on and were perfect in my opinion ,( sometimes parts were missign though , but quickly replashed with a phone!) , whereas the later  ' not so good' set were called ' New ' playmobil ...  :).... Playmoibl was by far number 1 toy in the late 70s, early and mid 80s in Greece .....  :)

It still haunts me in my dreams.... descending the stairwell of my neighborhood's toy store and looking at all the playmobil shelves....Its a very old memory... (i swear there is mist coming out...)

I m pretty certain my bank which i bought in the early 80s was Playmobil system , and not Lyra ( will vheck upon it eventually), the new playmobil system must have appreared in the very late 80s and early 90s i guess ...
