This set represents the end of the "golden era' for playmobil. After that all the classic steck lines and themes started changing the horrible system rubbish x appeared etc . End of an era . Playmoibl will never be the same. the latest mediaval sets are so weird looking , no non realistic sets and weird weapons etc plus angry playmo faces. HAns Beck would never approve !!!!!

Tell me Would it be possible to leave this set and not buy it for 30 euros? It was stuck at the back of a toy shop shelve!!!
I won't be opening it as I already have two of these loose and with no box...

wow      how you find all these old sets still on toystores ? that's it i'am moving to thessaloniki

I really cannot explain it Alex... My guess is that these are various left overs that the toy shop personel or owners forgot in their warehouses and that, from time to time, they are just going through their inventory and discover these sets.

have you seen more 5300 houses exept from the one you bought ?  when i came up there i found two in serres i bought them offcourse  in thessaloniki hmm... from what i've seen there are not many playmobil there    the stores you visit are out from thessaloniki ? η μεσα στο κεντρο?

Nope, thats the only one I've seen! Beleive me if there were others I would have bought them all... The whole city is full of places selling playmobil! You obviously have not been around a lot... But the shops that occassionally have older sets are not in the city centre...

yes i haven't been around a lot ... i went up there last august and january for christmas i saw a few stores and had the same stuff that they have here in athens of the current production ... i'am sure there are plenty 5300 still sitting somewhere in the shelves   ....  waiting for me .... i must start the hunting again ..
