Gaspodfreud's Knight
« on: March 16, 2010, 16:10:00 »

I just wanted to say what an excellent custom this is!

I spotted this character in Gaspodfreud's response to a welcome thread, and I haven't seen him discussed elsewhere. This is the sort of heraldry that Playmobil should be sticking with, and at least their newest announcements are getting back to this style.

I'm glad you brought this up Martin, I also thought this was very nicely done. Do you have other knights with different heraldry Jeremy? Thank you for sharing this with us.

I really like this custom a lot too!  Thanks for pointing it out, Martin, and thanks for creating it, Gaspodfreud! :wow:  As others have written, the heraldry is superb and very authentic.  I also like how you've used the blackened armor, which would have been historically correct (e.g. The Black Prince's armor).  My only suggestion would be to use the blackened sword from the 4689 Knight Special so that the metals match.

But you wouldn't want a black sword!
You want your sword shining and sharp so it can cleave through you enemy's defences!

That's funny. I know people don't like golden swords, but it goes well with some costumes ... (Such as the crusader, following the idea of the first special one, 4534)

I just got a second golden sword a few months ago, when I bought a second 5856 blister (attached)
