I quite like this guy, orange and all. It is time for Playmobil to introduce more asian themes in it's repetoire, and with the introduction of Ancient Egypt and Rome, I wonder if we will see Ancient Chinese or Japanese Playmobil.  Joy! ;D I really think it would be great to have asian warriors, temples, and landscapes.  Im a fan of wuxia films, and have wondered whether PM would warm up to the idea.  Here's hoping.

Last November, Rasputin conducted a poll asking what we would like to see for new themes:

Perhaps he should do it again now that we have more new members.

I sure hope there is a more cost effective way to get this figure than those eggs!  :prays:

I vote asian all the way.  I love the Roman, Egyptian themes and think it`s great for children to learn about the history of the world through such play, but it would also be great to expand to other cultures beyond the West.  So many of our everyday conveniences were first invented in China (paper comes to mind) - it really is an important culture in the history of the our world. I can see PM moving in this direction someday if they maintain a focus on ancient civilizations.

If Playmobil were ever to produce Chinese men then there could be quite a few interesting battles with these new Mongolians...
Maybe this is a sign...

This is my hope too WOT!

My guess is that the egg itself is made in the Czech Republic while the other pieces are Maltese and shipped to the Czech Republic where the set is assembled.
Having run into the mongol-guys in the boot-sales here, that would be my guess too ;)
Your guy having regular eyes, but with the angry eye-brows and typical beard/mustache of the mongols, makes it quite a unique one! I would think it's a production mistake, which don't slip into the market that often!! Enjoy it, he's really an egg-special!  :P
