I seem to now have around 20 all blue fixed hand Klickies and quite a few blue with yellow arms - does anyone know where these all come from (I think the blue ones maybe firemen ???

Back in the early days of "fixed" hands, Flatcat, Klickys only came in red, blue, yellow, green, white and black. So, these colors were originally used for everything from Indians to Knights!

And, the colors weren't mixed. If you had a "red Klicky" it was all red (except for the face and hair).

We soon got chrome torsos for the knights, but that was it for awhile.

Ahh! there's the klicky with blue body and yellow arms, so mine could have been a part of an indian set as there are a few indians clothing and tools in this lot. I also have a few of the other klicky with red body and blue arms.

Thanks Pingo :wow:

Wow! thanks for the link pingo - I have never seen half of these sets before and this thread is of extreme help indeed!

I have now been able to identify many of my pieces as playpeople, and with the large images, see what pieces go with each!

So far I have spotted the I have the: bank, saloon, stagecoach, fort union, police car and ambulance. I also like the look of that small orange tractor very much but I have never seen one before and pressume that it must be pretty rare :o

Ooops ... you got me, Pingo ...  :-[

I had forgotten that Marx had quite imaginatively "mixed up" Playmobil parts to create lots of very interesting combinations ...  ;D

Thanks for "catching" me!

All the best,
Richard

Actually the real thanks goes to Julie (aka Gyps) who originally had most of the information on her now defunct "Castle Sauvage" website. Julie and I both saved her history of Playpeople, should she decide to someday post it again.

Just realised that I have put the signs for the banks and saloon on in the wrong place :-[

Hi flatcat,

Great haul I would of been very happy with that lot at such a good price.

The all blue figures are probably Firemen.

I have found over the years of collecting buying and selling that most of the early all blue Playpeople Firemen figures have black inner body clips.
I'm only human, born to make mistakes.
