My recent ebay haul
« on: March 01, 2010, 16:52:11 »
Hi,
Thought i'd share some pics of my latest ebay haul that I have been busy sorting out all weekend. I got it fairly cheap is it was collection only, and I lived only 20 or so miles away 8-)
However I need some help with some of it as i am not sure exactly what goes with what and I need to get it sorted and put away in the right places as mum is very angry at me taking up half the lounge :-[

The 3050/3550 pirate ship is a nice one, but I originally thought it was a 3050 with home-made sails before I looked closley and saw that it were different - I never knew this version existed until now :-[

Luckily I have found Sir Gareth's what's in a box scans to help find all the pieces, and it all seems to be there so far.

 :P :hehe:

That is an amazing haul flatcat, congratulations! Sorting through all that would be the kind of problem I would like to have about now.

Also included were an early bank and saloon, although both are missing the hitching post things outside, and the bank is missing a front piller and small side roof trim, with the sallon missing the long front one - does anyone have these available for trade/buy?

Also, does anyone have any good tips for assembling them, as the front ppillars dont seem to want to push into the floor piece, and the whole building is then very rickety 8}

There were also some parts and accessories from the blue playpeople circus set which are interesting, and that I have never seen before ???

Old playpeople vehicles, that turned out to be in very good condition with nothing broken, although the police car is missing it's rear bumper which would be good if anyone had one, but i'm sure that one would be quite difficult to find. I think this design of ambulance/van is definately my favourite out of all of them

Hi

Wow you got some great harder to find sets in that lot. I like the ship and the western buildings you scored. Sorting through piles like this is my kind of afternoon .

Great addition to your collection

If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

This fire engine turned out to be in very good ondition as well - can anyone tell me what pieces are supposed to go with this set please. I have found a few firemen that go with it.

So far I have managed to complete the construction sets: 3458 earth mover + 3756 dumper truck

There also seems to be a large amount of spares (sails, rigging etc) for the 3053 pirate ship - I don't know if anyone is needing any as I don't have this ship.

The system x pirate island 3285 is supprisingly good. Mine is almost complete apart from 2 figures, a dog, a flag and a few other small accessories :(

There is also a fort union, and a few other playpeople sets. I also got the 'story of a smile book' thrown in for free when I went to collect which I hadn't got and it is a really great book!

Well, complete western banks tend to sell on UK ebay for around £50 ($75) on their own, and some of the playpeople sets go for quite a bit as well, so I feel lucky that I got them  :)
