Hi

Those are two wonderful sets to add to your collection. In the US those sets sell for a premium and are hard to find especially complete. The potters wheel & bakers window sure would be nice to see re-released.

Rasputin "The Mad Monk"
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

A "blacksmith" in real life? You're full of surprises, WoT! ...  ;D

As you probably know, Geobra made several Playmobil Blacksmith sets.

I knew about the first and last one, but not the middle pic.
Thank you!
Yes I am part of a Historical recreational society called the SCA.
It is world wide, and unlike renissance fairs or reenactment groups we make our own battles.
My persona is a Crusader who goes off to the Holy Land and...
Well I have created a whole story but since this is not my post and I am getting WAY off topic with this I will leave it at that.

Agree 100% about the steck. I think its pretty amazing quality and engineering wise that they are 100% as new after 30 years ...the only think people have to cerefull with steck walls is not to leave them under direct sunlight too long, they change colour etc etc . out of all the steck i have everything is 100% apart from a very few top wall fortifications ( of the original design) that seem to be a bit loose , mind you thats about 3-4 out of over 100 old fortifications, everything else snaps , klicks rather  , perfectly

I am packing all the mediaval collection in boxes this weekend and it will be transported in the storage room that has been modified for all the playmobil collections . I will be bying 14 tables of 120cm x 70cm to put them all up covered with green , pool table cloth .. i estimate to have it all set round mid April . ... so i guess pictues of the full mediaval collection with the klickies have to wait a bit....  :-[ :-[ :-[

i was ready the other day to buy the new dragon sets but decided to go for these old houses instead. My blue house ( second one i have know) arrived today also. blue houses seem very rare and i bought both from well Austalia !!! excellent aussies dudes thank you ..Wil be looking for some 3667 set , best to get more steck ... never enough of it ..  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Most stores that sell pool tables should have the cloth or can direct you to someone who repairs tables and may have some remnants, lots of colors, different 'feel' or 'nap' available, not cheap though especially for large areas.

Not cheap? Hmmm...
All the tables I use for Playmobil are cheap wood that I find in the garage,
So I will probably just paint them.
Thanks for the reply Gepetto!

True . When it come to playmoibl sets i think the pool cloth is the best as its not too thick and therefore klickies stand up without any problems etc etc. Theer are many variations and prices , i found some good deals at a chinese shops that has lots and lots of materials . For a piece of appox 140cm x 100cm price was about 8 euros , i think thats pretty good. Another option was about 25 euros but to be honest for the playmo project i didnt see major differences. A slight darker shade is more prefereable i think and the one i will go for as its more realistic for sets and bear in mind same cloth is also available in blue ( for ' sea')  ;D ;D ;D

Can you just imagine, WoT ... What if Geobra had made the Playmobil Lighthouse, the Playmobil Colosseum, the Playmobil Pyramid, all the System-X buildings and castles, and all the other "snap together" structures out of Steck! AWESOME !!!

Don't know about you and everyone else, WoT, but I feel cheated. Almost betrayed!

Imagine the things that we all could have built!

What could they have been thinking in Zirndorf? ...

All the best,
Richard

Agreed Richard. I can't believe it was too hard for kids to create buildings with Steck, if the same kids can play with Lego with all its small pieces that fall apart far more easily than Steck.

Now we have not one but three, no, four building systems, which have no inter-connection possibilities? So much for the "Everything Fits" motto.

I was planning on buying the new Dragon castles when they come out here, but I'm not surfe I wouldn't be better off investing the same money on eBay Steck while there's still enough of it around to prevent the prices going insane.  :-\
