New additions to mediaval collection
« on: February 28, 2010, 17:22:23 »
Just bought these sets i have always wanted to add to the mediaval collection .

The above is complete 100% and the only part i see missing is a red necklace but i have one  ;). its not boxed but my primary concern was to get one complete .  A rather rare set i must say ....

The above is such a beatiful set in my opinion.... . I have 4 tents as such but this one in wbite will make a fine addition to my mediaval town ....

When i set them all up with the rest of my mediaval collection i will take some pictures . i also bought a blue house to add to my collection . White, Red, yellow, gree, blue houses , playmobil got it so right with the old mediaval collection....

Great buys, Giorginetto !!!

And, you are absolutely correct when you say, "Playmobil got it right with Steck!"

Maybe, just maybe, someday Geobra will realize what a wonderful Medieval building system they created when they made their Playmobil Steck System.

Hopefully, they won't wait too long to bring back this fantastic system!

All the best,
Richard

I'd like to see a bigger picture of the first set, I'm squinting at that tiny picture but can't enjoy the details.

The potter's wheel is a great piece, I wonder if they'll ever reproduce it as a DS item?

Can you just imagine, WoT ... What if Geobra had made the Playmobil Lighthouse, the Playmobil Colosseum, the Playmobil Pyramid, all the System-X buildings and castles, and all the other "snap together" structures out of Steck! AWESOME !!!

Don't know about you and everyone else, WoT, but I feel cheated. Almost betrayed!

Imagine the things that we all could have built!

What could they have been thinking in Zirndorf? ...

All the best,
Richard

We can only wonder what goes through their minds Richard... 8}

If they just made steck 45* angle corner pieces they could make all the castles they are making with this X system... :P
Even without those 45* angle corners we could make a colleseum!
Just use a few rounded steck peices from the round steck towers!

Really geobra? We here could do this in our sleep!
And you seem to have to make an entirly new system! (One that by the way cannot be customised easily!)
If anyone here were to just land a job in their marketing department... :prays:
I could go on... beleive me I could go ON!

But I have found a way that we as collectors could still make steck castles without going to ebay!!!
I will be making a new topic with instructions soon if anyone wants.

Sounds very exciting, WoT!

I'm really looking forward to seeing your new topic (with instructions) about making Steck castles without going to eBay!

All the best,
Richard

Excellent additions!  I love the old timbered buidlings that PM made, and agree that steck is the best system ever.
I made a house like the Medieval Inn out of the farmhouse in DS, adding other parts I hade in my collection as well as from ebay.

These types of buildings are fantastic and I really hope that PM brings them back.
