A large digger has been brought in to aid recovery of the wrecked vehicles

The heavy tracks help keep the excavator put when going downhill

The driver is using his machine to maneuver the wrecked vehicles into a suitable position for winching up from the road

Making sure every last piece is gathered up

Excellent story & photography flatcat! You have accomplished your first photo story with fantastic results great story content with excellent humor mixed in; porta-loo delivery, sports car driving HazMat team, police officer in the puddle middle of river, etc. well done !
Forget about all of the other stuff,....all we need is the reintroduction of the 3526 Fire Engine!

The THW 4X4 has returned from the hospital to aid recovery

Winching up the wrecked jeep is easy when using the 4X4's powerful front winch

My avatar decides to make use of the facilities

The fisherman's jeep is nearly at the top...

The jeep is loaded onto a waiting flatbed and can now be taken away

Next up is the delivery van, and it is putting a lot of strain on the winch!

It is then rolled onto a waiting low loader and is secured down

playmofire, you may want to look away :D

A larger winch truck has been brought in now, and is carefully maneuvered into position for winching up the skip truck

The winch groans under the strain

The truck is successfully loaded onto another low loader and is taken away

Mustn't forget the crashed quad bike!

I haven't finished yet :-[
but perhaps we will call that the ending and I will put these on as extras ;)

The council spent all afternoon, and worked on into the evening to fix the crash barrier, and make the road safe again

My avatar is once more enjoying the open road, with not a sign of anything ever happening - well, almost ::)

;D The End ;D
