This week the Fire Department of Playmodam take into use a new high power water pump.
It is called an Hydro sub pump, the pump floats in the water and therefore does not lose suction. Capacity.
The transport hose for water is a green 6“ and is 150 mm in diameter
The amount depends on the ability to bridge the distance, and is between 2000 and 8000\Liters per min, also depends on the tube diameter
150mm solo length 3000meter far and 2000 liter per minute
150 mm double length 2500 meter far 4000 liter per minute
Solo 150 mm 4000 liter per min to 700 meter far
With one length of hose 8000 litre per min
Enter up to 80 meter height.
The pump is driven by a hydraulic motor on the same axle.
The hydraulic motor is powered by a hydraulic pump with two 60 meter long hydraulic hoses .
The hydraulic pump is driven by a stationary diesel engine, speed differentials between the 2800 and 3000 rpm.
The hydraulic hoses makes it possible that the trailer stays 60 meter of water intake point.
And it is possible to pump water up to 60 meter below the pump.
and increase this to 20 meter above the place of the pump. there is still about 2 bar pressure
The hydro pump is driven at 300 bar oil pressure and the water pressure is at least 8 bar, and 15 bar maximum is possible.
Construction:
For the Fire brigade of Playmodam the pump is built by mobilhydro in Playmodam.
The chassis is of the 3178 rescue trailer and part of the carroserie is the rear part of the 3880
and the rear hatch of a 3879
The diesel engine of the frond end lodder 3934 further two hose reels and the pump and floater is custom made.
