These six are the sets we were talking about over a year ago:  Thread from January 2009

It's great that we are actually getting them in the US.  It looks like TRU & Target are getting re-packaged versions that can be called "exclusives."  ::)  Good for us, though, if that makes them more widely available and/or possibly less expensive.

I have already seen most of these in the local toy stores, I should have checked the prices, next time!  ::)

On playmobilusa.com they are $5.99 each and they all seem to be available for ordering (I was able to put all of them into my virtual shopping cart.)   :)

You didn't know about that? I was sure you had mentioned going there when you were visiting before. They usually have Playmo 20% off during October about the same time as Eugene Toy and Hobby has their Anniversary sale.

Nope. I knew about both Elephant's Trunk stores, but hadn't been to the Learning Palace. I nipped up there this morning and got a few sets, including 4812, the wolf knight who doesn't get a wolf. He does get two pieces of headwear though, the horned helmet they show on the box front, and a wolf headdress. The latter is only shown on the BOTTOM of the box, as the back illustrates the daft catapult thing.

They only had that one bronze wolf knight set, so I still need to get 4810, probably direct from Playmobil USA when I order some other necessities.

TLP had very reasonable prices, so it's good to add this store to my Playmobil scouting trips.

I bought 4813 [mermaid with baby seahorses], 4814 [mermaid kids], 4817 [merman? guard--aka male mermaid prince guy] and 4818 mermaid queen all in the boxes.  They were 5.98 at one of my local independent toy stores and 6.99 at the other.  I also bought the king [4815] for 9.98.  No mer-witch at either location.

Would it be of interest to anyone for me to scan the boxes and backs?  I am happy to do so.

Hi Betsy!

That's a very kind offer, but I don't think you need to go to the trouble - Heather has already logged these items (with pix) at Playmodb (a year ago, when they were released in Germany.)  Your information about finding them at your local toy shops is very interesting and useful, though!  :)
