Trees, trees and more trees
« on: January 28, 2010, 04:11:41 »
Hello

With all the forest stories going I was influenced into accumulating all our tree parts and having fun. The boys wanted me to share their creations and I made a sort of game out of it. Here are theirs first .

combined effort

Alexander's creation

Zachary's creations

If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Ok here is the one I made. I set 4 houses in each corner of the table, each player chooses a house, each player in turn adds a piece of a tree to make it larger, it can not be a terminating end, it has to have leaves on it . If the tree falls on your house your out  ;D I tried and tried to get this size tree to stand but it just will not. I even tried to put fun-tack in the joints and it only helped for a short time. Eventually ( 5 seconds) the tree would just circum to its inability to stand

this is the tree falling apart mid air

What a treet Rasputin, I half expected to see Jack climbing up the branches! Looks like your boys were building a cypress swamp. Great photos, thank you.

You could try hot glueing. I've started using a hot glue gun to fix parts I don't intend to separate often, such as plumes on hats or torches in brackets, but you can easily separate them when you need to with no marks.

Tim showed me how he used hot glue in his Christmas Castle, and the next day I got a mini glue gun and 100 sticks for about $10-15.

Great foliage collection your family has  :wow:! I've been using hot glue, & double sided adhesive tape for quite a while in my non permanent projects! They work great!
Forget about all of the other stuff,....all we need is the reintroduction of the 3526 Fire Engine!

Larger size trees are a great challenge. The parts aren't quite tight enough to get really large

Trees, trees!  *gets excited*  :woohoo:

What great creations and the supertrees are amazing.  I've never thought to try that but they are pretty cool.  :o

Quite impressive trees Rasputin :wow:
There seems to be quite a few rude monkeys in the first pic :D
