Sweetwater - my western town
« on: January 05, 2010, 13:23:46 »
Hi all,

I'd like to show you some pictures of my western town "Sweetwater". The town is standing in the north of the USA next to the snake river somewhere in the borderland of Idaho and Oregon. You find every kind of people there: gold diggers, farmers, gamblers, craftsmen; it's a classical western town.

I'd like to start with the first building i customized: the bank of sweetwater. It's made of stone to protect the money and the life of its director, Bob W. Moneybag.

Cheers

PB

Quite an elaborate safe set up for sure, just as long as the bandits don't know to go to the rear of the building ! Excellent customization  :wow:! We don't see too many western theme contributions! Can you do a photo story involving your new bank  :yup:?

Great custom work. The use of the jail bars is very creative

Very nice custom, PB.

Sometimes it helps if everyone can see what you had to do to convert a Sheriff's office into a western bank. 3786 was Steck, so it looks like you may have added some pieces. I've attached a couple of pictures of the original Sheriff's office, so everyone can speculate on how you made this really nice custom building.

Thanks for sharing and all the best,
Richard

Excellent build! The modifications are done very well. 8-)

Never thought of using that safe in a Western scene before, but it looks just perfect.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the pics. The bank is one of my simplest customs, so it's easy to explain what i used: Only the wall with te window from the prison cell and on one side the wall which can be broken open. I used also a saw to build a door case in one of the window pieces. And i had to paint the plate. The windows you can find in the Colorado Springs station and in some other buildings.

Generally, i have to admit, i did not take any pictures of the customizing process. But i can take some pictures of the pieces i'm using for all my customs.

Cheers
