Episode 5: At the Tunnel's Mouth
« on: January 03, 2010, 23:20:28 »

Our Band of Pirates exit the dark tunnel into the lush green surroundings of the Tiermann Jungle. They are following a map that Luke is carrying.

Right behind them Bones comes running with his rusty saber held high.
Sam, at the back of the group, turns to face the skeleton, his bo held out to block the saber cut.

The other pirates fall back to left and right as Sam reels backwards, a yawning precipice just behind him.

Suddenly Sam leaps high in the air, using a secret ninja-Pirate move. Bones's momentum carries him forward...

he trips, and...

tumbles into the crevasse!

The pirates listen, but cannot hear him land.

Safe for now, at least from animated skeletons, they head off into the jungle, towards a ruined temple that Luke has spotted on his map (and in case you hadn't noticed, is there in the middle-distance).

Tum-te-tum, off they shuffle, but in the excitement of the post-fight adrenaline rush, Luke has forgotten his treasure map.

D'oH!

Photography, set design and layout by Tiermann. Characters by Martin. Storyboard and script jointly fashioned.

Hi Martin

Wow exciting episode. They are lucky they had a well trained Ninja amongst them . I really liked all you pictures you two made with all the plants & stuff. It was a great effect how you took the picture through the cave and had the dense forest in the foreground . Great stuff

If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

I really like the photos perspective, shoot from inside the cave with the jungle and the ruins in the background.  Very creative!!  And a wonderful story.  Thanks.

Wonderful, Martin!  I love the contrast of the last clever "dark" episode with this bright one.  The colors and photography of this last episode is very impressive, and the story just keeps getting better!
