greatings from Holland
« on: November 25, 2009, 17:17:44 »
Well where to begin.

I think 33 Years ago when i got my first Playmobil.

It has some tear and wear but I still have got him "the Stadwache"

After that one my parents has spoiled me   and in the period of 1976 until the 80’s I think I can say I have got all of them.

After my teens and finding a home with my wife I have put it al on the attic.

Now 25 year later and having 2 kids I have taken it all of the attic last Year.(2008).

Finding out that it all still was in perfect shape.
I wanted to give it to my kids. But I also was afraid that the broke it.

So I bought some new Playmobil for them on internet.
After my first internet purchase I bought for over € 500 euro for my kids.
Lot of it was incomplete and we had many sleepless nights putting it all together.
And of course I cam some part short.

So I bought more.
In The mean wile I sort my own Playmobil in the living room in an empty cupboard.

The more I bought the more I liked it especially the old houses, knights, and castles.
And every time I had a House or collection complete I thought when I give it to the kids the will wreck it MM lets by or collect one for the kids and one for dad.

Now 1 ½ Years later my storage is full my glass cupboards are full my attic also becomes infected. HAHAHA.

I like it the most when I buy a lot and then in evening hours finding it all together, together wit my sons.

So in 1 ½ years I has got out of control.

But still collecting.

And Thanks to my GREAT WIFE who don’t mind.

Well thank you for reading and hello from Richard “Stadwache”

Welcome Richard,

I just got back from a wet and windy week in Dublin, but not as wet as they've had it on the west coast in Galway and the lower Shannon area, or in Cumbria in the North of England. Hope Holland hasn't had the same sort of floods.

One good thing about Playmobil - even if it was stored in the basement and flooded, it wouldn't come to much harm!

Hi Richard!

Welcome from Scotland where it has turned very wintry in the last few days. :)

Separate collections for yourself and the kids - definitely a good idea. :)9 I'm not fond of sharing my sets either, but my children are a bit older now so they look after things better than they used to. I do still worry about pieces going missing and not being able to replace them. 8}

Have fun at PlaymoFriends! :)
