If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Well this is all fine and dandy if your interests only run to Ancients, but I guess other periods can do their own polls.

These are tough choices.  All would be good, but I had to pick one:

I would love to see Greek, but I don't know if geobra would take the time and money to do it justice.  Here are my top 10 reasons for Greek as a new theme (there is some overlap amongst the reasons):

10.  Mythical races.  I would love to see Klicky Centaurs.  Amazons would be great too.   :P

9.  Olympics.  geobra could make javelin throwers, shot putters, wrestlers, etc.  They don't have to be naked.

8.  Myths.  Similar to what geobra has done with fairy tales, they can make myth sets.

7.  Mythical places/settings.  Think of it:  a labyrinth in Crete with a minotaur roaming it!

6.  Gods.  I can see Playmobil specials of Zeus, Apollo, Hermes, Ares, Athena, Aphrodite  , etc.

5.  Heroes.  Again, I can see specials of Heracles, Perseus, Jason, etc.

4.  Monsters!  Medusa!  The Hydra!  The Cyclops!  (A cyclops would be funny.  Imagine a giant one-eyed Klicky.)

3.  The Odyssey.  geobra could modify the Roman ship.

2.  The Trojan War.  Imagine a walled city!  Imagine a giant horse with a very narrow waist!

1.  Thermopylae.  Would I purchase 300 Spartan hoplite Klickies to defend the pass?  Yes, I would!

I have seen a Playmobil knockoff set that had a Trojan horse that looked pretty good but the quality was atrocious! If it was only for static display it would be fine, still cost about $40 for the set which did include some figures and a wall segment.

Not true Karim, because I don't have any attraction to any ancient themes what so ever!

Give it time. Once you see the light that Gepetto mentioned you will get that warm fuzzy feeling and you will be hooked into yet another Theme  ;)

I doubt it, Ras! The closest I've come to being tempted is the knight theme!

Being an ancient theme fan, I think this is a great poll!  Here are my thoughts:

Asian:  I know other members would love this theme and I think it could be quite spectacular, but I personally have no interest in it.  It also wouldn't really work with any of Playmobil's current historical themes.

Greek:  I would really like this theme and I think it would be a nice complement to the Roman and Egyptian themes.  If Playmobil produced some Greek buildings, it would satisfy Roman fans too.  Just imagine the Parthenon, the Trojan Horse, Greek chariots, and a heavy phalanx warrior set!

Roman (expansion):  The Roman theme is my favorite theme, partly because I'm fascinated with Rome and partly because I think it's a fantastic looking theme in general.  Playmobil did a great job with their initial run when it came to the military and gladiators, but they completely neglected Roman structures, except for the arena.  A Roman forum, villa, and temple would be welcome additions to the theme, and I think they could expand the military side to include some green auxiliary soldiers and some black or light blue Praetorians.  Playmobil could even further expand the Roman theme to include a Celtic chariot, hillfort, and round hut (which could work perfecdtly with the new African theme too).

Egyptian (expansion):  This is among my favorite themes and I think Playmobil did a tremendous job with everything.  I can't imagine them doing much more to expand this theme.

Persian:  Although I don't think many will choose this, I would certainly like to see a few Persian sets, as they would complement both the Roman and Egyptian themes nicely, not to mention the proposed Greek theme.  I'm not sure, however, that I could see an entire theme of Persians.

Maya:  This theme, like the Asian theme, could be quite spectacular with a temple and some great klickies.  It would also work well with the new Spanish conquistadors in the pirate theme.

So my order of preference would be:

Greek
Roman (expansion)
Maya
Persian
Asian
Egyptian (expansion)
:egypt: :roman: :viking: :knight: :arrr: :indian: :cowboy:
