I know that Lego produces high ends items aimed exclusively at their Adult Collectors with a pricetag of 500.00 Euros and more...and it sells as these products were developped in connection with the Collectors themselves which I personally think is an amazing idea :yup:.

If Lego did it why not Playmobil ?

Only time will tell but with Lego this is a happening now and what a wonderful way to reward their Adult Collectors by offering them their ultimate wish come true in a one of kind product...

   Hi Karim

All I ask is that Playmobil take some of the dusty molds and crank out some "add on" sets . I think it would be highly unlikely for Playmobil to invest millions of Euros to satisfy a small group with new molds .  Now with the parts they already have produced they have the very expensive molds all ready and would just need to throw them in the machine for a few days and presto - A collectors thanks you for customer loyalty . Some wondering monks, large barrels, some classic Victorian items like the fence,  etc...... I am sure we all have some old items we could use more of  ;)

I could not agree with you more Ras

I just thought that the Ultimate Collectors Serie was an interesting initiative :yup:

Just like you, I would be so happy if Playmobil continued special edition releases in the line of the Rudolph Karstadt Oldtimer Truck to add to my existing Victorian collection  but I have the impression that I am only daydreaming there :'(...

Or you could just get a Mac and not worry about viruses. ;)

I took the survey and it's pretty well-organized and easy to understand.  If Playmobil actually pays attention to the results, it could ultimately benefit both them and us.

While I don't think it would be economically beneficial for Playmobil to create hundreds of new moulds just for the collector market, I do think it would be profitable for them to, as others above have suggested, revive older, desirable moulds and re-release these as Add-On parts (e.g. castle Steck pieces, the large barrel, the Victorian fence) or complete sets (e.g. the original Medieval domestic buildings and some of the popular Western structures like the train station, church, water tower, and windmill) to the adult collector market at premium prices.  I think this could be implemented fairly easily by Playmobil and would not only bring in profit but improve brand loyalty and foster goodwill with many somewhat disgruntled adult collectors.

I also think Playmobil could create some new special sets for the adult collector market using mostly old moulds.  For example, I think a large three masted Spanish galleon or Royal Navy man of war would sell very well to adults, even at a premium price.  The only new moulds Playmobil would really need for this set is the hull and deck.  I also think a Roman villa and temple made from existing moulds (see Blader's creations) would sell well.  While some may argue that the Roman structures could be assembled through DS, for those outside of Germany or maybe the UK, DS either doesn't exist or is an unstatisfying nightmare, to say the least.  (This is another major area Playmobil could improve for the adult collector.)

I think they should carry out the classic edition series like are presently being produced for example, the 7655 construction truck or 7786 fire ladder truck, but doing ultra rare sets like the 5360 Vic fence, 5350 kiosk, 5551 pianist, 5620 Victorian cars in various colors, 3765 wind mill & 3766 water tower, 3526 & 3525 fire truck sets, & 3055 schooner ship, 3551 fishing trawler just as ideas. Not to develop entirely new molds. I also don't agree with charging extraordinary premium high prices for these sets unless they are going to reproduce the instructions, decals, boxes, just like they were produced in their introduction like MIB sets would be.

Forget about all of the other stuff,....all we need is the reintroduction of the 3526 Fire Engine!

Hi Justindo

I use an old Mini Mac and as time goes on I see macs becoming a target also.

Your DS revitalization or restoration idea would surely make a lot of collectors very happy . This is an area were they already have designated resources and all it would need to be is organized in such a way to be more automated . Say an on-line system where the prices are available and inventories are accurate . I also liked the old idea of a Computer aided architectural program (CAD-ish) where we can design buildings and have a blue print with part #'s and a end price for the building . I think this would not only cater to the adult but also to the young would be architect. Playmobil-  hello we have great ideas on how to spend your money
