just found this 5802(?) blister set on ebay.

like all the other pirate blisters, they seem to come up first on ebay.

the figures seem a mix of some american sets - 5807,5808,5809 - and a replica of the recent ds 7381.

it is now the 4th pirate blister, after the 5814, 5819 and 5826.
this blisters do seem to be one of geobra's strategies to gain a precious market-share in crisis time.

What a shame they've used a pirate from the current DS trio, that makes this less desireable, and shows a terrible lack of initiative, imagination, and thinking-through. Nice to add a monkey at least.

The bicorne hat of the lefthand pirate comes from the 3936 Admiral, and thank goodness there's one hat that doesn't have a skull and crossbones on it. There are two versions of this hat, gold round the top with red stripes, and red round the top with gold stripes.

I picked one up at Target a while back. It is a nice set, although I don't
like the printed eyes on the non bald guy.

I really like all the bits you get with these blisters, I buy them more for parts now then anything.

you were very kind to offer your help.

i still have my doubts if the "classic" pirate in the 5802 is different from all the others - i have to scan my database.

my quest goes now for the new american sets, the 5869 red corsair schooner, the 5868 octopus attack and the 5865 mini set.
... and the 5009 piraten gefecht, german t.r.us (and funpark) exclusives (it is a little different from the 4444 set, new pirate figures, soldiers and island).

Well my offer stands for any set, I have seen the 5869 and 5868 sets over here already. I hate to think you would have to resort to Ebay for sets that are available OTC over here, let me know if I can help.
