Hello and welcome from Northern California . The modern theme is one i collect along with all the other themes .
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Thanks for the Warm Welcome. I just came back from Oregon with some playmo so I'm hoping to find a place for it in my cluttered room on another shelf :)

hello and welcome from san francisco.  i collect mostly medical things, and have built a 7 story medical center, which i posted here quite a while ago.  i began collecting in the late 70s early 80s when playmobil first came to the us, and i bought a few things for my children.  i also have a modest victorian house collection, and all of the camping/biking/backpacking sets.  the new house looks very tempting, especially since i suspect they will be adding on pieces to it in the future.  the group here is wonderful, you will soon see that some of their collections are absolutely mind-boggling.

I have to admit, I'm primarily a LEGO Fan as that takes up most of my money. I primaily got interested in Playmobil ever since I got a Modern House for $5 at a Garage Sale. That made me want to get out my childhood playmo, then I started looking at the older catalogues and got the Transit buses I never got as a kid from ebay (I had a feeling they were only released on Europe, as I've never seen on on ebay in North America?) My mind boggling Lego collection takes up much of my closet and several shelves, but I do reserve the top of my dresser for the modern house. Admitedly I have a police station now and the vehicles (Including 3 buses) are getting stacked on top of one another. I've seen playmobil enthusiats when I've done LEGO setups out in the valley but didn't know there was a huge internet following (but not as quite as big as AFOLs, at least in the USA and Canada) I've told some of my LEGO freinds about my braching into playmobil but I hope I have enough time and money to appreciate both!

Greetings vcrklicky from the Great Pacific Northwest! If you came back from Oregon I hope you had a chance to stop at Finnegan's in Portland, excelent toy store. I am sure there are more than a few Legos hanging around in our respective homes but Playmobil takes pride of place, look forward to seeing you around the forum.
