Even if you're out of photo devices ...
« on: August 28, 2009, 16:21:58 »
LET US KNOW what playmo you've been getting! :)

(If possible, collect a link or a pic in the internet, but the set number will do!)

I'll begin! ;D

My superset 4133 (knights), not a new one ... just arrived, two days ago.

(Er ... I'm not without a camera, I've been using that same most of you know, but the computer hasn't been helping me, and I'll have to wait a while, until I may published the story I've shot :( )

All klickys are properly changed & named! :yup: and stories arise!

It's a wonderful set!

Only ... I had to make two little addaptations ;D

1. it's too low: it has to go on a book (I've done it, and it solves the matter, and makes a fine fortress! :yup: I hope to be able to show you next month, if the computer's back in order ...)

2. my stories take place before canons, around 1100, therefore, I had to remove the canon; which left me an idle platform -- instead, I managed a burning-with-something-hot cauldron ;) and a way of throwing the stew down, in case of attack :yup:

I've shot a story, but won't be able to publish so soon :-[

I got 4 blister packs, recently (yesterday :yup: )
I couldn't find their pics in the Playmobil USA site, therefore I'll describe, and try to take pics of the backs and put here.

5800, which is a Roman centurion (exactly as one being sold in Playmobil USA, attached below. #1) with a common legionaire;

5856, two knights, difficult to describe them, but one is a fat "Dragon Baron", and nother one a golden one that reminds of one picture I'll try to attach or link soon, I've seen it's chest here in Playmofriends, if I'm not mistaken;

and 5799 (got x2 of this one ;D ), I'm definitely not in Western, but I got this one because of (1) sideburns of Special 4622 (attached, #2, borrowed from Collectobil.com) and (2) the bayonet rifle, I had none (and it was the main reason I got two of this set ::) ); the blister that exact confederate soldier, and a common blond Union soldier, the blond hair (3) is at hand, too.

So, attachments, and I'll see if I find the body of the knight I told you ...

Here it's the link:

http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=1130.msg13783#msg13783
(I KNEW I had seen it somewhere!)

The body of the knight is the one of the right one, only, it's with dark gray legs & golden arms, and golden + dark grey accessories, including the golden medieval common sword. (I have more use for the silver (iron) one, but it's good thing to have one golden, at least ;D ).

I hope I manage to bring pictures of the blister backs. (The "guys" aren't exactly as they came, anymore. I have to make characters!)

@ Gordon | dad gave some money, I thought with myself: "it goes all in playmobil!" 8}

I thought I was make an order at Amazon, but there's a bookstore which sells blisterpacks, and Oct 12th is Children's Day, so they got prepared to have some profit on it ... they don't actually get that much playmo, but there were these, and I thought ... "why not?" ;D

It wasn't as cheap as I'd like, but I have the shop's customer card, and it lowered the price from 30, something to 25,90 Reais! :yup:, so I bought 4. About $180, $190? ... I'd have to spend around $300 to send for anything (that worthed) through Amazon, so I got quite happy :) :) :) :)

I'll try to post the last story I shot ... I have so many things to shoot, and now, life's coming back to normal: we're getting used to the cat. But I still need a good camera.

IMO, attachments are great, Gus!

So, here are the attachments for 5799 and 5800.

Oh, here they are! :) Thanks, Richard!

Here it goes pic of blister 5856, and of my moment of doubt ... ("should I or should I not get 5802, instead of 5799 x2? :hmm:" :P lol.)

I didn't like those pirates that much.--

We've been waiting for 5799 to appear for a while, just wish the Union soldier had been the 4628 special instead. That won't stop me buying a dozen for those rare Confederate sideburns.

The 5800 doesn't make any sense to me at all. A ratio of 1 Centurion to 1 Legionary is useless, so this pack doesn't work for army builders, and anyway both these figures are still available as accessories as well as in the 4276 ship. A better pack would have been the archer, only available in sets 4275 and 4276, and the cavalryman from set 4273.
